My heart beat fast in the second row of the Edinburgh HMV Picturehouse as the lights went down, the crowd erupted into applause and the band made their entrance onstage. After months of trying to get a Vampire Weekend ticket I had given up. But when my boyfriend gave me a ticket for Valentines Day, I could have screamed with excitement.

They opened the set with the high-pitched ‘White Sky’ then continued to play tunes such as ‘Holiday’ and ‘Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa’.

Everyone else is going on about it, and I’ve talked about it on my radio show – so why not write about it for you guys to read?

Well obviously im on Team Rage.

Rage Against the Machine have been contributing to music since 1991
The songs a lot better
It has much more meaning and is relevant to the war wich is happening right now
They are singing because they care. Because they demand change. Because they are passionate about something. Not because they always wanted a chance to sing and are BOMAs with Cheryl Cole

Righto, Uncle Russell has been slagging my festival hat!!

I bought a hat when I was at Leeds Festival and made the mistake of wearing it into the studio for my show tonight!!

I've been away for a few weeks doing various things including working at the Edinburgh Fringe and Leeds Festival!!
But I am back now and preparing my show which is on in 20 mins!!

The long anticipated comeback has finally arrived. ‘Crying Lightning’ is the debut single from Arctic Monkeys third album, ‘Humbug’. The record was produced by Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and will be released in August – can’t wait! Although I wont have time to learn all the songs well enough before Leeds Festival!

I've decided to start a Black Diamond Blog!!
