Gordon's Fightback

On Friday 8th August while doing my Drivetime show I was joined by Patrick Monahan and James Freedman who are both appearing at the Fringe, also with us was a guy by the name of Lawrence Cowan who I had only got to know about an hour earlier through Patrick.

Lawrence came to the studio on my invite to talk about a fundraiser for MND (Motor Neuron Disease) that he has organised this month in Edinburgh, the fundraiser is for a man by the name of Gordon Aikman who is dying from this condition, although the show was full of laughter the moment we started to chat about this there was an air of seriousness in the studio because this is Gordon's story http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/motor-neurone-disease-is-a-death-sente...

And while Lawrence was chatting about Gordon he directed us to Gordon's website where on reading the homepage my guests and I fell silent while what is written on the homepage was read out live on air you can see what was read out here: http://gordonsfightback.com

There is a "Justgiving" page where you can donate and help Gordon reach his target of £50,000 https://www.justgiving.com/gordonaikman/

The fundraiser is sold out unfortunately but I am told there is a waiting list for when tickets become available and the information on the fundraiser is here:http://www.mndscotland.org.uk/2014/07/stand-up-against-mnd/
