About Geoff
Geoff is married to Sharon; they have three children, two boys and a girl.
Their first granddaughter was born in January 2007, their second arrived in February 2009 along with two cats, Geoff is still hoping for his Labrador puppy to complete his ideal family group, Sharon is not so sure though.
After moving to Edinburgh from his beloved Hawick in 1968 (he still has a HUGE passion for all things to do with the Borders, including the Waverley railway restoration) he started his working life as a cinema projectionist in Corstorphine in Edinburgh and at night used to listen to the radio, a lot of radio, well, the telly shut down at half past midnight.

It wasn't until 1989 that he started his own broadcast radio company after a few years of being on the periphery of commercial radio, which evolved into broadcast transmitter hire service right up to 2000.
Radio is a very intimate thing and very personal so Geoff tries to keep it that way so call or E-mail him at the studio, he tries to reply to all his E-mails.
Geoff is still broadcasting on the Mid Morning slot from 10am till 1pm, he is the only original member of the daytime broadcast team from the very first day we went on air in Late May 2007 and is also part of the Late and Early show that is broadcast on Fridays late, from 11pm till very early Saturday Mornings at 3am, which has also had studio guests and incorporated some live sets from the likes of Mr Roy Henderson and Newtongrange’s own Becca Fox and others from as far afield as Selkirk.
Do you want to take part?
Just E-mail the studio when he’s on air and join in with listeners from far afield as Los Angeles, British Columbia and Sydney Australia!
Geoff’s musical tastes range from Beethoven, the worlds’ greatest composer ever, to Ennio Morricone to Stevie Wonder and all points in between as long as it sounds good he says and goes on, “Music should have no boundaries and anything goes in my mind”.
Also got something to discuss? Call him, he might even put you on air.
You can catch Geoff most weekdays between 10am and 1pm.
