The L8 'N' Early Show

I am a great believer in putting exactly what something does on the front of the tin, therefore The Late and Early Show is on Late Friday Night till Early Saturday Morning, it’s sometimes known as The L8’N’Early Show.

The Show was first broadcast on Black Diamond FM back on 11th July 2008, so we’ve been at it for a while now almost with-out a break.

The response is quite interesting, there are regular listeners as far away as Los Angeles USA, Port Coquitlam in British Columbia in Canada, as well as Liverpool, Liberton in Edinburgh, Dalkeith and Bonnyrigg to name but a few, others pop by via the Facebook Page.

Musically it can go anywhere as the show is listener led, send any requests or dedications to studio@blackdiamondfm.com

Although the music is a huge part of the show it’s not just music there is chat and interviews, we have in the past interviewed Rat Scabies from The Damned, who was on holiday in the area and just dropped in one night; we’ve had live acoustic sets from Newtongrange’s very own Becca Fox, Gael Force from Selkirk, Missing Cat from Edinburgh and “Mr” Roy Henderson. We have discussed the Waverley Railway Line soon to be re-instated right through Midlothian

So if you have a CD you’ve made and want to talk about it or if you’re good enough to sing “live” in an acoustic set get in touch, we are always interested in what you have to say.

If the production team like what they hear, you may very well be hearing from us, send in your CD’s to our postal address on our home page.

We championed the song “Hail Caledonia” for the year of Home Coming and arranged an interviewed with the singer Steve O’Connor by phone, he is now a huge fan of Black Diamond FM and took part in Black Diamond FM’s “The Gathering” in November 2009.

The Late and Early Show on air Friday night from 11pm (UK Time)
