Midlothian Science Festival Launches 2015 Programme
This year’s Midlothian Science Festival was launched on Friday the 2nd of October at Mayfield Library. Opening the Festival was the award winning bubble artist POP! Producing smoke filled volcano bubbles, square bubbles and human sized bubbles. Blending a mixture of entertainment and science to the delight of the children present.
This was the first of 70 events that are happening in Midlothian over the next two weeks (2nd-17th October). From its humble beginning four years ago the festival now attracts over 8000 attendees. Highlighting the cutting edge science and technology that is present within Midlothian. Making science fun and accessible to children and adults of all ages. Giving people an important chance to understand how the world works.
The festival works with over 20 key business and institutes to bring a series of free and paid events to the towns and villages of Midlothian.
