As a spotty 13 year old Mad Dan picked up a copy of Iron Maidens ‘Number Of The Beast’ album back in 1982 and a mad metal maniac was created! Roll on 25 years and he’s still rockin’ (minus the long hair and bullet belt!) Having caught every major metal/rock band live over those years, many at the legendary Glasgow Apollo, he’s still plugging and promoting the virtues of rock & metal bands to anyone who’ll listen! He hopes to take all you classic rockers back to your youth and entice some of the younger generation to rock out.
Mad Dan has worked in the Leisure industry for 17 years in Glasgow, Liverpool and Edinburgh. He was Fred The Weatherman’s lifeguard on the This Morning Show with Richard & Judy ;
“I had to stand under the cameraman with a big stick in case Fred fell in!! There was no way I was jumpin’ in, it was freeeeeezin! But I got to meet many movie stars and bands on the programme, and yes I did see the streaker running on, but I didn’t want to grab him in case I grabbed the wrong bit!!!;-) My favourite moment was when I got to sit inside a real DALEK!! Yes a Dalek, I’ll not tell you what’s inside as I’m sworn to secrecy but I do get this strange voice in my head every now and again, words like Doctor, Exterminate!!”
Get ready to rock every Friday night from 8pm with the Black Diamond FM Classic Rock Show.
