Friends of Emmet "Hero" Single Review

Friday 21st February saw Dublin/Los Angeles based band Friends of Emmet release their new single "Hero".

A song of immense heart, soul and feeling asking the question "Does anybody care" it's a song in my personal view that no matter how bad things get for you, you can't always struggle on your own because as Mark Leddy (lead singer) sings "Everyone needs a Hero". However you can make up your own mind about what this song is about as I am sure different people will have their own interpretation about this wonderful song.

I first heard this song as a stripped back raw version just Mark and the piano and it was very powerful and having a full band backing it brings this wonderful song to a great level and deserves much praise especially for the subject matter.

I have had the pleasure of meeting the band Keith Geraghty (Bass) Brian Lynam (Guitar) Tim Bolland (Guitar) Mark Leddy (Vocals) and Gary Sullivan (Drums) and have seen them perform live and they are a very talented bunch of guys and very passionate about the music and the subject matters they write and play about Mental Health being one of the biggest topics.

Hero is available to buy now https://itunes.apple.com/ie/album/hero-single/id799234870 and is well worth the purchase.
