Its that time of year again
Well its that time of year again when Edinburgh slowly fills with the gabble of festival goers and tourists transforming the city for a few months at least, in to a hub of culture.
But is is all just for the tourists and visitors or can the residents, who have to cope with the city for the rest of the year enjoy the festival season just as much?
I'm one of the cynics that rarely ventures out to see much if anything at all at the festivals and this year I plan to change that (or at least try!).
As I type away I'm struggling to pick out what to see in this years Edinburgh Film Festival. This years festival hosts twenty-three World premieres, and sixteen International premieres along with a mix of other animations, documentary's and short features. I'm more used to seeing blockbusters like the latest Tranformer's film than a low budget British film.
However for festival newbies there is a online tool to help me out. If you like me are struggling for ideas visit the festivals website and use the online suggest-o-tron. From a few questions it will help you see a list of films that may suit you.
If you want to give the suggest-o-tron a try you can visit http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/whats-on/suggestotron
Anyway no use debating it! I'm off to pick a film, find out what I picked here tomorrow!
