Free Music at the Museum
From Sunday 5 August to Sunday 19 August, the Museum of Scotland, Chamber St, Edinburgh, will host daily free performances from renowned Scottish musicians. The Live Music Now! ALuMNi network, which this year celebrates its 30th birthday, will bring some of its best musical talent to the museum.
*All events will start at 12.45pm and last for approximately 40 minutes*.

Wed 8 August - Callanish: a traditional band with a modern twist
Thu 9 August - Kathleen Graham: clarsach and Gaelic singer
Fri 10 August - Scottish Traditions of Dance Trust: Highland dancing
Sat 11 August - Simon Thoumire: concertina virtuoso
Sun 12 August - Canongate Cadjers: enjoy a ceilidh with signing, piping and dancing
Mon 13 August - Stringjammer: string group of fiddles, double bass and cello
Tue 14 August - Gary Innes: a mischievous smile and a purple accordion!
Wed 15 August - June Naylor and Sandie Forbes: clarsach and fiddle
Thu 16 August - Sarah Naylor and Douglas Millar: fiddle and keyboard
Fri 17 August - Mary Ann Kennedy: clarsach player and gaelic singer
Sat 18 August - The Wrigley Sisters: Orkney guitar and fiddle duo
Sun 19 August - Donald Lyndsay: bagpipes, ballads, laptops and loops!
