Stornoway, Beachcombers Windowsill – Review

By Chris Mackrell - Posted on 31 May 2010

Stornoway (despite the name) are a pop-folk band from Oxford. After playing their début single ‘I Saw You Blink’ for a few weeks I eagerly anticipated their full album and last week it arrived!

Decorated with seaside guide graphics ‘Beachcombers Windowsill’ is a great summery album with catchy melodies and the occasional harmony. Already the album has graced my car for a drive in the sunshine to Penicuik’s Hunter and Lass day.

As long as the good weather stays to complement their tunes then I am sure it will be getting plenty more plays!

The Oxfordshire four piece will be playing at this years Glastonbury Festival and also a bit closer to home (but not much) at the Belladrum Festival near Inverness.
