Jack Johnson, To The Sea - Review

By Chris Mackrell - Posted on 14 June 2010

The good thing about buying a Jack Johnson album is you know exactly what you are going to get. The acoustic guitar and light vocals are all in full swing with his fifth studio album titled ‘To The Sea’

however there is also the pleasant change by inserting electric guitar and even some keys and harmonica in ‘Red Wine, Mistakes, Mythology’! He still has not tampered with his usual formula enough and at some points it does sound like you have heard some of the songs in previous albums.

Personally I love Jack Johnson’s music as it transports me too a beach in the sun despite the fact I’m currently sitting in a thunderstorm in Midlothian!

Fans of the Hawaiian singer-songwriter will enjoy this album, which after a frantic day in or out of the office will calm you down and lower your blood pressure (possibly too low!)
Well worth a buy even if it only cheers you up once!
