Local darts events

Where can you get the chance to play a World Champion of darts other than an exhibition event. These are held in many a location throughout Scotland, where a wide range of top players in the PDC will play against local darts players. The Corn Exchange in Edinburgh was one of the events recently where the followers of darts and friends had the chance to meet, watch and play against the current world number one, Michael van Gerwen, the current and two-time back to back World Champion, Gary Anderson, Wayne Mardle and Bobby George. The highlight of the evening was a 20 leg match between Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson, resulting in a 13-7 finish. Following on from the Saturday night event, on the Sunday after, in the afternoon the Bo'ness Masters was held with two of the same players from Saturday, Michael van Gerwen and Bobby George. Both of these local events had an attmosphere that you have to experience for yourself and enjoy. I was lucky to catch a moment of Michael van Gerwen's time for a photograph which was taken at Sunday's darts exhibition event, the Bo'ness Masters.
