Edinburgh International Magic festival

The Festival just started on Friday and it’s on until this Thursday the 4th. There are shows, events, exhibitions, and even a magic shop! It’s all about promoting the amazing world of magic!

The OK Social Club
Friday the 3rd 7.00pm to 10.00pm Sneaky Pete’s
This is the band playing the official album launch for their second album ‘Baby Eat Your Heart’ that came out last month. These guys won Best Live Act at the Scottish Alternative Music awards (SAMAs) in 2013 .. great sound, head down and chek them out.

It’s being hosted by PopUp Scotland and the proceeds will go towards supporting local artists and social enterprises. There are some pop up shops and DJs as well.

Weave Workshop
Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th 9.30am to 4/5pm Coburg House Art Studios
Classes will focus on weaving a scarf, where you will be led through the weaving process step by step to create your own.There are various options available for varying levels of experience.

Friday the 17th is the start of The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. The best place to go for all of this is their website www.edinburghjazzfestival.com It runs until the 26th and there is just a huge array of talent on show. I had to pick one event just to kick things off though and just for their name, it’s The Vampires.
