EIFF: Five Films for Five Days

The Edinburgh International Film Festival returns this year with 146 action packed and exciting movies for you to watch.

If you're unsure on what movies to see this week, below is a list of 5 movies I have selected as a 'must see' during this year's event.

Wednesday 19th June:
Breathe In
Keith, played by Guy Pearce, is a high school music teacher and family man in Westchester County, New York who dreams about living a live devoted to music. Keith meets Sophie (Felicity Jones), an exchange student who is a talented pianist which brings them both closer together.

The East
This thriller movie is about a group of young eco-terrorists who target corporations they accuse of crimes against the environment and public health.

Friday 21st June:
Svengali
Dixie, played by Jonny Own and Shell (Vicky McClure) movie to London, where Dixie intends to let nothing stand between him and his dream of being the manager of a big-time rock band. Expanded from a YouTube cult series.

Saturday 22nd June:
The Bling Ring
A group of L.A. high school friends track the activities of celebrities online so that they can rob their homes. Motivated less by greed than by a fascination with status brands and famous people, the gang target the likes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and others. Starring Emma Watson and Taissa Farmiga.

Sunday 23rd June:
Monster's University
This long-awaited movie looks back at the days when Mike (Billy Crystal) and Sulley (John Goodman) were studying to be Scarers at Monsters University. When their fierce rivalry gets them expelled, the two are forced to work together and take on some rather unusual colleagues.
