The Sandy Brechin Band, Review

Venue 123, AMC

Sandy Brechin the wild man of the accordion took the stage with his wrist in a support after an accident with the city's well loved tram lines. He had fractured his wrist and for many the injury would have meant a sure cancellation. Fortunately Sandy is made of sterner stuff and boldly played his high octane set with no visible let up. His rapport with the audience and ready wit manage to compliment his flowing accordion style.

His backing band consisted of an electric bass player, beat box and a Mandola, however Sandy dominates the proceedings. Super tunes with amusing anecdotes throughout the show make this a show not to miss. He has four shows left at the same venue before the end of the festival. Four stars for this show.
