A Songwriters Circle, Review

The Jazz Bar in Chambers Street was the setting for A Songwriters Circle 90 minutes of music, chat and banter from 3 of I would say the best musicians Scotland has right now.

The sassy, beautiful voiced and a bit daft Caroline Gilmour, The multi-instrumentalist and brilliantly voiced Douglas Kay, and the very talented, soothing voiced Alan R Davison treated the audience to some great songs all written by the artists themselves no cover versions needed such is the depth of talent on show and the meanings behind all the songs sung.

The trio took it in turns to showcase their songs which included songs called Space, The Same Side and new song Paper Planes by Caroline, The Flag, The Street Dragged Us Down by Douglas and Superhero, Everything is going to hell by Alan and each and every song was met with total appreciation by the audience.

A great night of top quality music you can find out more about Caroline, Douglas and Alan here:

This is the best 3some I have seen in a long time.
