On The Beat Presenter Sgt Scott Meechan, of Lothian and Borders Police, has won ‘Community Police Officer of the Year’ at the Jane’s Police Gala Awards.
BDFM OFF Air due to damage by the High Winds
Black Diamond went off air at 16:20 Wednesday, because of the high winds which have damaged the transmitting aerial
Hopefully this will be repaired overnight and we should be back live by mid morning tomorrow Thursday 15th

Race For Life
Local Boy JOSHUA CRAWFORD from Newtongrange Primary School is doing the CANCER RESEARCH RACE FOR LIFE 2011 at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh this Sunday 19th June.
He managed to convince his mum, headteacher and the local hairdresser Craig from Headrush, Bonnyrigg to create a PINKISH/RED Mohican for this event.
Craig has kindly donated ALL his fees to Cancer Research to help towards Joshua's target.....
He has nearly reached his target of £200 and is extremely excited about the event especially with his new Red Mohican.

Black Diamond FM has had its broadcast licence extended until March 2017!
Digital Switchover
TV is going digital. The existing analogue TV signal will be switched off and replaced with a new, stronger digital TV signal. It will mean that almost everyone will be able to receive digital TV through an aerial (Freeview).
